The Chronicles of Guiamo Durmius Stolo by Marshall Best

     For those of you who may enjoy reading, my husband has recently published the first four books in a historical fantasy series.  The series will eventually have nine books.  Marshall is an avid reader.  I like to refer to him as a walking encyclopedia since he retains so much of what he reads.  He is a huge lover of history as well.  In these stories he has woven many historical people, places, legends and myths from Gaul, England, Scotland and Ireland.  The first book is a little slower paced as the main character starts out at the age of ten and he must grow, learn and develop into a warrior before battles can be fought.  The next three have much more action and adventure.  I've posted the descriptions of all four books below.  If you want to know more, visit our twitter page or the guiamochronicles blog.  If you are interested in purchasing a copy, Smashwords has any e-version you would need.  CreateSpace has all four books available in print.  Thanks for taking the time to check them out.  If you aren't interested but know someone who loves to read these types of books, we would appreciate it if you would pass the word along.

But Caesar has not before encountered the Fomori, a dominion of wicked creatures which wage war against the human inhabitants and dominate much of Britain. Armed with his god-made spear, Guiamo joins with the tribal kings against their Fomori foe when Caesar departs.

Having destroyed the Fomori in Britain , Guiamo Durmius Stolo decides in 51 B.C. to bring the Cruthin people, once slaves to the Fomori, to Ireland , but encounters the Fomori who reside there as well. Guiamo discovers that the gods venerated by the Druids are unworthy. The gods are displeased with him and begin to work against him.

Inis Emain Ablach

In 50 B.C. Guiamo Durmius Stolo finds himself victor over the detested Fomori whose leader, Cichol, is slain and those few who survived are scattered. Guiamo explores the secret places where Cichol kept his most important secrets and discovers there the treasures of Cichol's master, the goddess Domnu.
